Industrial generator service

Industrial generator service up to 1 MW

We service and install standby generators up to 1 megawatt, any brand, across Northern Illinois. Diesel and natural gas, single units and multiunit sites, with 24/7 emergency response.

Capability

Up to 1 MW. That number is our credential.

JRC services, tests, repairs and installs standby generators up to 1 megawatt (1,000 kW), diesel and natural gas, single units and multiunit sites.

Plant engineers and facility managers call us for the same reasons: a unit that's out of warranty with no servicing dealer, a load bank test nobody has run, a controller alarm the last vendor couldn't clear, or a site with three different brands that should be on one schedule.

Where industrial units run

Manufacturing, food, cold storage and critical sites

Manufacturing & plants

Process loads, controls and life safety circuits across the Elgin, Huntley, Carpentersville and Rockford industrial parks.

Food & cold storage

Spoilage math makes the case. We keep the units that protect inventory tested and ready.

Data & telecom edges

Small colo, edge, office and security buildings, plus temporary construction power around larger campuses.

Testing

Most industrial units never see real load between tests

Wet stacking, carbon buildup and unproven capacity show up the day utility power drops. A resistive load bank test proves the unit can carry its rating.

NFPA 110 routine maintenance and testing intervals
IntervalWhat the standard calls for
WeeklyVisual inspection of the emergency power supply system (EPSS)
MonthlyRun at least 30 minutes at ≥30% of nameplate kW, or at the manufacturer's minimum exhaust temperature. Exercise the transfer switch.
AnnualIf monthly runs never reach 30% load or exhaust temperature, a supplemental load bank test: 30 min at ≥50%, then 60 min at ≥75%.
Every 36 monthsFour hour run at ≥30% of nameplate or required exhaust temperature (Level 1 systems).
OngoingFuel quality: water, sediment and microbial growth in tanks, lines, pumps and filters. Annual diesel fuel quality testing.
